Limitations of D365 FO out of the box dashboards and Analytics

Hello All

What are the limitation of reports and dashboard in D365 FO? Is it good idea to use Power BI with D365 FO for dashboards and analytics?

Thanks Andre for the quick response.

What I was trying to find is... D365 FO has in-built workspace for dashboards and analytics and also it has option to embed with Power BI. So should I go ahead with embedding power BI for dashboards? Is it a good idea

Yes it is the best way to go if you need additional Power BI, to embed is the best solution for user point of view.

Hi Harshavardhana,

Power BI is an excellent tool for visualising data in the system. There can be multiple filters per page or report. Data to power bi is refreshed on a regular basis according to a schedule.

Power BI has both advantages and disadvantages. What are your concerns about limitations? (performance, tool compatibility, data sensitivity, exporting data, printable output, development time)
