Orders in Business Portal 5.1 not working

Hi guys,

I have setup a sandbox for a client and I am running GP 2010 R2 on one machine and SQL, Sharepoint 2010 Enterprise and Business portal 5.1 on another machine.

I can access the business portal website but when I try to access the following sections I get an "unexpected error":

- Purchasing

- Financial

- Sales

- Inventory

- Manufacturing

- Project

- Orders

I have uninstalled sharepoint and BP5.1 including deleting the old databases and reinstalled both.

Anyone have any clue why this would be happening?

Thank You in Advance

Adam

    Adam,

What version of SharePoint are you running, SharePoint 2010 Foundation or Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010?

I'll recommend a couples things below.

General:  Open up your web.config do the following.  After you make the changes, go into BP again.  It should return a specific message rather than the generic one you saw.

    • Search for CallStack.  Set its value to true.
    • Search for customErrors.  Set its value to Off.

Specific:  I'd recommend checking for a tag in your web.config that starts with the following:  <add key=“ReportViewerMessages” ...  Depending on what your problem is, removing that or commenting it out could fix it.

    Thanks

    Rob
