Which is better: Java script vs Type script?

Hello CRM World,

I have couple of questions regarding JS vs type script:

1. Can you please help me out to figure out which coding style (Java script or type script) is optimal to use for the CRM implementation? I need to know the advantages of using type script over JS?

2. Also what is the future scope and how likely is it to get very popular and famous among all the business clients using CRM worldwide? Is the CRM world moving away from JS and towards type script? Is it too late to learn type script now?

3. How likely is that in near future all CRM clients gonna use type scipt for client side coding and thus JS gets outdated?

Thanks in advance

    Hi Chakka Yashwanth,

TypeScript is a way of writing code in the next generation of JavaScript before it has full support in all browsers. The advantage of TypeScript over current JavaScript is strong type checking through type inference. TypeScript is a superset of JavaScript, so effectively JavaScript is TypeScript without all the new features and strict compiler checks. As TypeScript is a superset of JavaScript, existing JavaScript programs are also valid TypeScript programs.

Learning TypeScript is straightforward if you already know JavaScript. You can convert your JavaScript into TypeScript with very little effort and then start to make use of the new features over time. In the future, I expect TypeScript to gain more prominence, but current JavaScript will maintain relevancy.

    Hi,

There shouldn't be any comparison of Type Script & JavaScript. TypeScript is used to write the object oriented JavaScript code. It actually converts into the JavaScript and you deploy the converted JavaScript library. So to answer your questions

    Hope this helps.
