How to find Microsoft Voice Number for NAV and Business Central On Prem

Hi Team,

I’m in the process of establishing a partnership with an existing add-on partner for Business Central. As part of this, they’ve requested our Microsoft Partner Account Number (Microsoft Voice ID) in case we wish to sell or register a NAV / Business Central On-Premises licenses.

We are currently a Microsoft Solution Partner and already have an MPN ID for Business Central Cloud, which I have shared with them. However, they are specifically asking for the Microsoft Voice ID as well.

I would appreciate your guidance on how to locate or obtain this Microsoft Voice Number.

I have the same question (0)

    Hi Mansi,

Thanks for your response. We currently do not have any clients using the on-premises version of Business Central. Could you please advise on how we can obtain this information at the partner level?

    Hello @CU04020731-1,

You can also submit a request via Partner Center Support asking for your organization’s Voice Account Number.

    Hi

This comes up often when working with legacy NAV or Business Central On-Prem licensing. The Microsoft Voice Account Number (also known as Voice ID) is different from your MPN ID and is specifically used for on-premises license registration and transactions.

Here’s how you can locate or request it:

    1. Check PartnerSource Business Center

    • If you're the Partner of Record for a customer, you can find their Voice ID in PartnerSource Business Center
    • Navigate to:
    • Partner Focus > Reporting > Customer List > [Select Customer] > Registration Keys
    • The Voice ID is typically listed alongside the license file (.flf)

    2. Submit a Request via Partner Center Support

    • If you don’t see it in PartnerSource or need it for your own organization, submit a support request via:
    • Ask specifically for your organization’s Voice Account Number for NAV/BC On-Prem licensing

    3. License File Lookup (Customer-Side)

    • If you have access to the customer’s license file, the Voice ID may be embedded in the .flf file metadata
    • Open the file in a text editor and look for the Account Number or Voice ID field

Here’s a helpful community thread that discusses this exact scenario:

You can retrieve this information directly from the client’s license file, as Business Central does not store it elsewhere within the system. If you're listed as the client’s Partner of Record, you can also access these details through your client list in PartnerSource Business Center. This is the most reliable and official source for license-related information.

Yeah, the easiest option is to open License file via notepad or similar tool.
You will see the Voice number on line 4
