Add New button not visible in Ribbon Workbench

Hello,

I have a subgrid on custom entity form. The Add button of the subgrid is not visible on the form. I am logged in as the administrator, so the question of having enough permission to perform the action is ruled out. I checked the entity in ribbon workbench and I am unable to find the 'Add' and 'Add New' button in the subgrid section of that entity. I did not explicitly hide or make any changes to the ribbon of that entity. What am I missing here?

    Does the related button show up above the subgrid?

    If you click on it, do you see the Add New or Add Existing buttons in the related entity view?
