Advanced Find Query - Queue Items (using CRM 2015 on prem)

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

I have built a "Queue Items" Advanced Find query (CRM 2015 On Premise).  I have successfully added the columns of the query needed to return field data from the the Queue Item.  However, I also want to pull through information on the Queue Item Object, in this instance, the Opportunity.  I have added columns from "Record Type" Object (Opportunity) to the query but no data is pulling through when running the query.  All columns directly related the Queue Item (Title, Type) etc are there, but nothing in relation the Opportunity.

Please can anyone advise where I may be going wrong!  Many thanks in advance.

    Hi Emma,

in the original question you wrote that your queue item is "opportunity". If your queue item is, actually, "Task", then you might try to add a column like this:

    8272.task.PNG

Just keep in mind you can't go through too many levels. If you start Advanced Find at a particular entity, you can add columns from that entity or from the immediate lookups - you can't add columns from a "lookup of a lookup".

Hi Alex, unfortunately that didn't work.  I noticed thought that it did pull through Opportunity data if the Queue Item Type was Opportunity.  However, in my instance the Queue Item Type is Task (the Task is associated to an Opportunity).

Thanks Alex - I will try that!

    Hi,

are you sure you are pulling data for opportunity queue items only? Try adding a filter to your query and see if anything shows up in the results (and, then, if anything shows up in the opportunity columns):

     Object(Opportunity)

          Opportunity              Contains Data
