Minimum stock is not consumed

Hi all,

I use a masterplan with a Min./Max coverage method.

When a sales order need to consume the minimum stock, a planned order is created, even if the physically available stock permit to deliver the order.

I don't understand why, on an other company it works fine but not on this one. I surely missed a setup... ?

If I uncheck perspective messages, it consume the stock, but it didn't reserved automatically ...

If my mini is 10 and I need 5 on this minimum stock, it creates a planned order for 5, and didn't reserve automatically the 5 on the minimum stock (but on the planned order). I need it reserve the minimum stock.

The reservation is related to the sales order, not the planned order. It would reserve against the 5 being taken from stock. Your replenishment order back up to your minimum is not reserved, it is to fulfill the minimum.

AX does not consume the minimum stock, it is when that number is broken, so if your minimum is 10 you do not need demand for 10, you need demand that takes your on hand to the trigger point.

I'm not sure to understand. The minimum stock can not be consumed the time that I replenishes the product?

Yes it doesn't reserve on the planned order, but the link between the needs is create with the planned order, and I want it reserve on stock, even if the minimun stock is reached.

    Look that,

    162 on-hand physically
    My stock minimun is 52.

    115 sold.
110 reserved physically, 5 in planned order.
Why it didn't take the 5 needed on the 52 physically available

I cannot understand the details therein relation to the reference. You need to look at the net requirements. It will take the 5 needed from the physical, the planned for 5 would be based upon breaking of the minimum level.

If the 5 is a sales order then it may depend upon how the requirement has been created depending upon the dimensions where you define item coverage and where the demand actually is - so do you plan by warehouse and is this all at the same warehouse?

Ok I found how it can done what I expect.

In the Coverage Item form, I need to select "First Issue" for "Fulfill minimum"

Ah so the issue is probably you were seeing the planned order created today, with the default "Todays Date" but it should not have impacted on reservations from a planned perspective. Still if you have your answer that is good!!
