OK would love a hint on this one!

I am evaluating the RMS software to see if it will suffice for my business, and I like the reference number and comment info you can add with transactions, with the Transaction Information box in Store Operations POS.

But what I can't seem to find is HOW I later go back and search by the information I put in these fields. Does anyone know? I have two types of data that need to be associated with a sale, and need to be searchable, and this seems like the perfect way to do it. The only way of searching I can find is reporting, or going into the Journal and looking by date range. Neither of these methods seem ideal for finding a specific sale later.

Nothing out of the box, there may be add-ons that can search those fields.

One can search notes though using the Find button

When you create a custom field, or after the custom field has been created, you can view the field properties. In the field properties, ensure that Searchable (in the upper right) has 'Yes' selected. You will then be able to search this field using the advanced find feature that is accessable in the top ribbon bar.
