GP crashes when I send a statement as PDF by email

Posted on by 5

Hi. I've been trying to send statements as PDF by email but GP crashes when I click the Send Email button and the customer never receives the email.

Adobe PDF Pro is already installed on the server. On the Receivables Statement window, GP recognizes the PDF format (on the Report Destination window, when I open the File Format drop down GP displays the option to save the File as PDF) on the Print Receivables Statements window. Besides, I already saved a Customer Statement with the PDF Format on the server.

On the other side, If I send the Customer Statement by email as a .docx format, when the customer receives the email, the attachment arrives with the following extension .docx.htm

Help!!

    Hi adrilopez,

There is no need to install any additional Software to mail out PDF statements.. This is natively supported by the newest versions of GP, but you have to use the Word Templates to do this.

This KB article should help you to get on track : https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4100822/email-rm-customer-statements-in-microsoft-dynamics-gp
