How new field value ( from salesline) is populating in CustConfirm Trans table during SO confirmation

Hi All,

I have added one new field "Reason code" in Sales line. The purpose of this field is when user going to change "Sales price" then they have to select the reason code before changing the sales price in an item. and then confirm the SO. My question is

1. How i will populate the reason code in jOURNAL-- Sales order confirmation form ?

2. i wants to do allow edit = TRUE the reason code, when the sales price is going to change or modify else false. means when i creating a new line in SO, then the reason code should be allow edit = FALSE.

Please give me more shed on this.

1. Enhance Tables\CustConfirmTrans\initFromSalesLine with Chain of Command and add handling of your field there

2. I'm not sure if I understand your condition for the allow edit. You said that AllowEdit should be false for new Sales Line. And you say that user must give reason code before changing the sales price. But they can't change the reason code becasue AllowEdit is false. Perhaps you can try to describe the requirement as a user story / process description, and tell how the user would proceed in the system and what should be possible or required in different process steps.

Hi @rp@n,

How does system should behave if you change price several times before confirmation? Maybe it's better to modify confirmation dialog and process and check if price was changed since last confirmation ask to provide reason for that.

You can utilize class salesConfirmJournalCreate. This class is responsible for creating conformation journal. Look at the methods createJournalLine and header to add your customized code using COC.
