Modal Dialog Not Supported in Edge Browser

Hi All,

I want to use edge browser for CRM. But certain code is not supported in edge.One of them is the showModalDialog method. It is not supported in edge.Is there any alternative for this except window.open()?

Any help would be appreciated.

The supported way of opening new windows is as follows:

It's does however open in a new tab rather than a new window.

This is ok but it displays only html web pages.I want to display aspx pages and just like a modal popup, not in new tab.
