Open opportunity clean up in Sales Enterprise

I have inherited 57 open opportunities that will never be closed as won or lost.  They are basically junk records created a few years ago.  What will happen if I just delete them?  What would happen with the the associated activities regarding the opportunity?  What should happen to the qualified lead that the opportunity was created from?

Likewise, are there any concerns with deleting unqualified leads or should they be disqualified?

Thank you!
I have the same question (0)

These associated activities will be deleted at the same time.
Qualified lead that created from these opportunities can be retained, just remove link between them(clear 'qualifying Opportunity' field value.)
It is based on the relationship behavior:
By the same token, if one is concerned about whether deleting an entity record has any effect on related entities, one can minus check the entity relationship behavior.
    Note:
--You can recover deleted records through audit feature and this tool.

    Hi,

If we delete the opportunity then associated activities will get deleted.

Lead and it's activities will remain in system.

Deletion will only delete opportunity and activities.

    Hope this helps.
