Financial reports - Report date in the middle of a month

ReportReport
Posted on by 10

Hi all,

I have a customer that needs a day specific report every day.

As I can see it's only possible to use the "End date" in the column definitions in Report Designer.

If I use the "Report date" when generating the report it will include data in the same month but after the report date.

Did you experience the same?

Best regards,

Sune

    Hi Sune,

In the Column definition of the report , you can apply the filter with date +/- based on selected data.

Similar to Date interval code in D365

    Hi Sune,

Thank you for using Dynamics 365 Finance Communities.

If you require a date range to be generated for the report or if you only want to generate a report for a specific day/date, you can use the Start Date and End Date fields in the Column Definition.

Here is a sample setup with the results for your reference.

Data in D365 for a specific account and date:

    Hi Dune

using the start and end date features requires that you change them often.

an alternative is the use of power bi or the creation of an electronic report in the org admin module.
