D365 Warehousing App for Intermec Barcode Scanner

Hi,

My client has Ice cream business and the temprature in their warehouses goes down to -27. They want to use Warehousing app for item scanning and other purposes. The problem is in warehouse temprature normal mobile devices cannot work.

So they use Intermec scanners, you can see the attached photo of device. Device has Windows embeded system OS. Does someone know if MS has launched WS app for these devices/OS? If not, how can we use WS app on these devices?

    Hi Hafiz Usama,

    Windows embedded support ends this year, so MS won't launch app for OS that is not supported. There are lots of scanners that are built for low temperature warehouses (it's easy to find them in the web, here is an example https://www.honeywellaidc.com/products/computer-devices/handheld/ck75 ) and are supported by the app, so your client has to replace existing hardware.

    Thanks for your answer. My client is using Honeywell CK71. So you are saying they need to get latest devices that has android OS.?

    Not latest but any that runs on Android 4.4 and above. Laters would be better of course.
