Starting an AL Project

Hi:

I have looked at two manuals, for an explanation on how to begin an AL project in VS Code.

Neither explained it well.  Only the launch.json file was created -- not the app.json file.

Also, I still don't have an explanation on how to start a project for only one BC company. In the sandbox environment rather than all of the companies.

Would someone please provide a link offering such very basic first steps?

Thanks!

John

Hi, You can try the following method, it will automatically create the app.json file and automatically connect to the current environment.
Business Central 2023 wave 2 (BC23): Open Visual Studio Code (Debugging) from web client to investigate or troubleshoot extensions

    Thanks

In Visual Studio you can use Command Line AL: Go to create the project, you can find more information in the below link

The other thing is you cannot develop an extension for a single company in the tenant, extension will apply to that environment and all companies in that environment
