I want to clear all Outlook contacts and force repopulation from CRM Online

Is this possible, and what is the safest way to do this? My CRM Online data is most up-to-date and I have some Outlook contacts that are not synching.

May I just delete all Outlook contacts and then synch to repopulate from CRM? I am worried about losing data.

Thanks very much!

This sometimes happens to me too. I usually deactivate my contact sync filter or modify so that no CRM contacts sync with Outlook. Then force a syncrhonization. This should remove all CRM contacts from Outlook. I manually delete any CRM contacts still left in my Outlook contacts folder. Then I reactivate my CRM contact sync filter to push all my CRM contacts back into my Outlook contacts folder.

    Hope this works for you.

Thank you, Neil. That's what I was looking for. A safe way to blow out all my Outlook contacts, then re-import them from CRM. I appreciate it!

Uh oh. I'm not sure how to do this

I see the items in the Filter: Outlook box but I don't know what action to take.

I am not interested in identifying what contacts in Outlook are not synching. I want to delete ALL of them. Every last one. But I do not want that to cause the CRM contacts to be deleted. Then I want to push the CRM contacts back into Outlook.

What will happen if I just do not change any settings and simply delete every last Outlook contact? I really need hand-holding help here. As in

Click here, you will see (description), check this box, take this action.

Thanks. Sorry for being so dumb, but this is not a very obvious system to modify for non-IT types.

Ah, I got it. My IT guy helped me out.

    I'm good to go!

    Thanks.

    OK, I've sorted this now.

I did this by assigning all my accounts to a dummy "owner", then forcing a sync in outlook which removed all the contacts. I then deactivated the outlook sync filter before assigning myself back my accounts and contacts.

    A bit convoluted!

    Hope this helps others.
