CoProduct good and scrap qty ?

(2) ShareShare

Hello everyone,

We are facing an issue with D365F&O regarding the co-product production.

Each work order on a co-product is made on the Planning item. In the Production Floor Execution, at the moment of scrap report and good qty report, you have the possibility to enter different qty for each Co-product realised.

The problem is, nor in the Route card, nor in the Time and attendance I can find these qty. It's like that the system doesn't save these information.

Is someone know where to find these qty ?

Thank you a lot in advance !

Hi there! Good morning, evening, or afternoon - depending on where you are :) Hope you are well today!

It seems like you're encountering an issue where the quantities for co-products (both good and scrap) are not being saved or displayed in the expected areas, such as the Route card or Time and Attendance. Here are some suggestions to help you locate and resolve this issue:
    • Check the Production Journals
      • The quantities for co-products are often recorded in the Production Journals. Navigate to Production control > Journals > Production journals and check the journals associated with the work order. Look for entries related to co-products and their quantities.
    • Review the Co-Product Setup
      • Ensure that the co-products are correctly configured in the Formula or BOM (Bill of Materials). Verify that the co-products are linked to the planning item and that their quantities are set up to be reported during production.
    • Inspect the Production Floor Execution Settings
      • Check the settings for the Production Floor Execution interface. Ensure that the system is configured to capture and save the reported quantities for co-products.
    • Analyze the Report as Finished Process
      • The quantities for co-products might be recorded during the Report as Finished process. Navigate to Production control > Production orders > All production orders, select the relevant order, and review the Report as Finished journal for co-product quantities.
    • Debug the Data Flow
      • Use the Trace Parser or Debugger to trace the data flow when reporting quantities for co-products. This can help identify if the data is being saved in a different table or if there is an issue with the process.
    • Custom Reporting
      • If the standard reports do not display the required information, consider creating a custom report or inquiry to fetch the data directly from the database.

Hello Holly Huffman, thanks for your reply.

I checked all your list and I have some questions / details :
    • Where to find : Production journals ? At don't have this menu.
    • I search in the settings for the Production Floor Execution interface, but I didn't find anything.
    • The planning items is well linked to the two products, as you can see on the picture below.

When I go to the last operation of a work order on the planning product 204711-N/A00, the system ask me to choose between the two co-products. But, even if I already enter good qty or scraps, the system don't show them :
