The Short answer is Yes. It is supported customization.

1st option: use XRMtoolbox, You can get it freely  xrmtoolbox.codeplex.com . Please bing(google) blogs on how to edit sitemap using XRMToolbox. The Toolbox will take care of schema validation

2nd option: Create solution add sitemap. Export and edit the xml file. Review how to edit the customization XML with schema Validation. Zip the solution file and import the solution.

    HI 1984,

I would recommend you to use sitemap editor to edit the sitemap.

Yes, it is inside the xrmtoolbox.codeplex.com

There, you can save as your sitemap as .xml file.

Yes, you can also export import using solution, just don't forget to include sitemap as one of your included component.

    Hope this helps!

    Thanks.

Thanks all. I was trying to export the sitemap as part of a solution but it would not export. Turns out it did not like me using Chrome which is very strange with CRM 2013. I exported using IE and then reverted back to Chrome. Very odd. Anyway thank you.

    Hi 1984,

Yes, using chrome now, it wont allow you to export the solution.

And also has many problem such as Form Editor in editing of the small field properties, such as Visibility, renaming label, read-only setting, etc and for the workflow editor as well, and even lookup error.

But so far, for view, it is okay I tried.

So, better if you do customization, FYI if you get deal with Form editor, or something which requires pop up or another dialog, don't use Chrome or you will have to redo one more time your customization :)

    See these blog:

    Thanks.
