Vendor Calendar vs Planned Purchase Orders

Hello,

I have a problem with calendar of vendors in planned purchase orders.
Both order date and delivery date should be Open in the Vendor calendar. Problem is that system plans a delivery for an open date, that was considered just for ordering not delivering.

I found similar issue in the following link but there were no suggestions to solve it.

https://timsaxblog.wordpress.com/2016/11/04/vendor-calendars-in-dynamics-ax/
stating that "Both the Order dates and the Delivery dates are falling onto our Vendor Purchasing calendar Open days – I confess I'm surprised by this. I was expecting the Delivery dates to fall onto the open days, but not the Order dates..." But it does not suggest any solutions for it.

I have the same question (0)

    Hi Mohammad,

The vendor calendar indicates the days on which they accept the purchase order and the dates when they can deliver the orders. So the order dates for planned purchase orders with a vendor calendar will be dates defined as open in the calendar.

In our case, some days Vendor is Open but cannot deliver orders and just can accept Orders.

For transfer orders, we handle it by "Close for pickup" , but it does not have any effects on purchase orders.

Do you have any solutions for it?

    Hi Mohammad,

Have you tried the following settings?

Both the vendor calendar and the coverage group calendar are set to open in working days. However, in the special day when the vendor only receives but does not delivery orders, select “closed for pick up”.

Did you set ‘closed for pick up’ for transfer order in coverage group calendar? If so, it has a lower priority than the vendor calendar and will not be applied to the planned purchase order.

    Regards,

    QianQW

Yes, I applied your mentioned setting but it seems that "Closed for pickup " does not have impact on purchase orders. Is it a bug?
