Linking GP Screen Field Names to GP Table/Field Names

We need to ask Business users if they use a certain field on a GP Table. Sometimes the field name is different than what is on a GP Screen. Business users know the field name based on the screen they are using, is there a way to identify the screen fields to the GP Table field name?

There is no particular way but can be find with several different methods. You need some dexterity developer help for this, All you need to do is to provide window name and they can list the mapping.

Hi Christine,

You can use the Table Descriptions window in GP by navigating to Microsoft Dynamics GP | Tools | Resource Descriptions | Tables, then click on the ... next to the Table field. Then you can select the series and use the Find button to search for the table that you are looking for. Double click on the table which will allow you to see the details of the table and/or field information.
