audit history is showing update event and changed by SYSTEM

Hi,

I have a lead record in which audit history is showing an update event and showing its changed by SYSTEM. However nothing has been updated in this event. This case is for around 14 records in my system.

Any help on this issue will be appreciated.

    Hi Dilip,

    This is quite an old post, but relevant even today.

    I'm using the Microsoft Labs Actionable Audit solution to audit events of my custom entities. Facing the same issue where audit entries are being shown for SYSTEM user updates where updates are all blank. I have to scroll pages and pages of audit history to view the genuine records of user based updates that I actually need.

    Is there a way to exclude SYSTEM based audit history rows from the audit history or can we suppress system based auditing events?

    Hi Dilip,

    You can look at the SDK Message Steps and identify which ones are registered on the Lead Update message - this will show you which ones are likely to be the issue.

    There are no out of the box plugins that would do what you are seeing.

    Hi,

    I have plugin registered in my system but the problem there are many more plugins in system. So how to identify which plugin is getting triggered. This issue is arising when the

    owner of the record is getting changed. Also can you please tell me whether there is any OTB plugin that's getting fired when I change the owner of the record.

    Hi,

    The system user will show for updates that are made from within Plugins that run under elevated privileges. If some attributes are not audited then a blank audit entry can show like this.

    Perhaps you have a plugin registered on the lead? See my post on impersonation - develop1.net/.../User-Impersonation-in-Plugins-Workflow-and-Dialogs.aspx
