My client is manually entering fixed assets which was newly implemented this year. They have some assets from FY2009 and FY2010 that they do not have records of individual depreciation for. It appears that I cannot run depreciation in the Current Year (YTD) unless I have a LTD amount entered.
1) Can I run depreciation by Asset Class ID for the prior years?
2) If I try to run depreciation on these assets in the current year, will it calculate without a LTD amount entered for the prior years?
3) Any other methods I can use to input this data?

Theresa, you can run Depreciation by Class ID but first you'll have to setup Asset Groups to mimic your Classes. The depreciation routine only provides for running depreciation on All or by Asset Group.
Depreciation will calculate without LTD entered for prior years.
You can use Integration Manager or the Asset Import Utility to import assets (or SmartConnect, Scribe, etc).
Hope this helps,
