How to set Report Selections for Job Quote (report 1016)

Posted on by 189

Hi

I know that this is a question already asked and answered in 2017, but the answer is not good, so I try again to see if the system was improved within the last 5 years.

It seems we have to make Job Quote report selection for each individual customer, and this is quite cumbersome when we have only one report layout valid for all customers.

Are there still no option to make a global selection valid for all customers like "Reports Selection - Sales"?

Best regards

I am glad it worked. Thanks for extra feedback. I added to my list for future.

yes, I was able to load a Report selection via table 77.

In the excel record I just had to set the column "Use for Email Body" to value true and insert the Layout Code field from Custom Report Layout (see screenshot below) in the column "Email Body Layout Code".

    It actually works.

Before I loaded this entry in table 77, I got an error message when I tried to sent a Job Quote email without making the Report Selection on the customer.

Now I can send an email. I don't have an email body report, but I can manually enter text for the email body.

So far so good. Next I will try to figure out if I can actually add a Report Selection for the Job quote email body.

    Best regards

    Hi

Someone told me the following method before. But I never tried it. Feel free to try it in Sandbox first.

Use Configuration package and take table 77 out. Then add a new line like follow and upload back. Then test.
