Generic SQL error - 'Invalid column name' - Connections Lookup field

I am running into an issue with the Lookup field in the Connections form (i.e. 'Connected To')

If I enter a value into that field that isn't immediately retrieved from the Search I receive a 'Generic SQL error' in CRM. After enabling tracing on the CRM server I am able to see that it is throwing an error when trying to query a certain entity citing two 'Invalid columns names'. I then checked the SQL table of the entity in question manually and see that the columns do exist, spelled correctly, etc.

I don't really know where to go from here. Maybe it is querying a different table that doesn't contain the columns?
