Out of the box they appear to do the same things to me.... What capabilities do Reports have that Views do not?

Hi,
A report and a view can be similar, but a report lets you do a lot more.
A view is completely in CRM and will be defined by what you can build in the Advanced Find window. The criteria and columns are limited to what it allows.
Reports can be written in SSRS with SQL, so you can get really complicated data back, use Cursors, temp tables and variables as if you were right on the SQL box. This WILL NOT work in CRM Online (you can only write FetchXml reports), but your on premise org will work just fine.
Hope this helps! I'd appreciate if you'd mark this as a Verified answer.
Thanks,
Aiden
Thanks. I understand SSRS can enhance reports which can't be done within advanced find for views.. But natively without using SSRS do reports have an additional features when compared to views? I am asking through the configuration without having to code..
