    Hi Kasun,

You will need to look into the "coverage settings" for your manufactured item.

    Some things to check:

    • What "coverage group" is the product assigned to and what is that coverage group's "coverage code"?
      • If it is set to "Requirement", then MRP will generate orders on a one-to-one relationship i.e. for each sales order, there is a respective production order.
      • If it is set to "Period" then all requirements (i.e. sales orders) within the coverage period (days) will be grouped into an individual production order on a many-to-one relationship.
      • Master planning > Setup > Coverage > Coverage groups
    • What are the item coverage settings assigned to this product?
      • A product can have specific item coverage settings that override those of the coverage group.
      • On the product record, select the "Plan" tab and then open the "Item coverage" form.
      • Check if there are any site/warehouse specific settings.

A quick solution is on the "Planned orders" list page, you can select to "Group" planned orders, this will allow you to consolidate the current planned orders into one.

    Regards,

    Matt
