    Hi Tom,

Thanks, when we send material outside our factory on returnable bases, we also have to generate ewaybill along with delivery challan.

This kind of functionality not available on base version of nav 2016.

    Regards

    Sunny

    Hello Sunny,

Thank you for posting on the Microsoft Dynamics NAV Forum.

I am on the United States based Microsoft Dynamics NAV support team, so I am not familiar with the terminology of "challan" or exactly what needs to be accomplished to meet the requirement. Do you have a link to documentation for what is required?   From my review on the web, it looks like there is a Form or Document in India referred to as a Challan to track movement of goods. CHALLAN | Meaning & Definition for UK English | Lexico.com

I am not aware of standard NAV 2016 functionality to meet the requirement out of the box. However, there may be Partners in your local region that have developed the feature. Otherwise, it would require a custom development of the Report to fully meet the requirement, but I do not know because of my lack of familiarity with the local government requirements. I will ask my colleagues on the support team to see if there is familiarity with your post.

From my understanding, it seems that you require some type of separate Inventory Location Code to track movement of goods through either a Transfer Order or Item Reclassification Journal to move inventory to a separate external Location Code. Then, you would use Transfer Order or Item Reclassification Journal to move the goods back once they are returned.

You could use the Revaluation Journal to possibly to adjust the specific inventory value.

If you can provide further details, that would help in directing your question to the appropriate resource. In addition, it is possible that other members of the community reviewing the post will be able to interject with guidance for what they have done in this area.

    Best Regards,
    Tom
