Dear All,

I am configuring the Production Control on one of my client. I have a Four operation defined in one Route.

i have created a production order with the quantity of 200 pcs and Start Production Order with the 50 quantity in operation 10 and post picking list and route card journal for the operation 10, how can i move the 50 WIP quantity from operation 10 to 20. Because when i click again to Start button this will shows the remaining open quantity in the production order i.e. 150.

Please help me how can i move stock from one operation to another in production order ax 2012.

Thanks

    Hi,

Can you please share details of the route that is used with this production?

In the route you should see the different operations and how they are linked.

    Many thanks,

    Ludwig

I have created production order for 200 units. Started opertation 10 with 40 units and report as finished in operation10. while i click the start button on production order again to move to next operation it starts the the production for the remaining 160 quantity. How can I move the 40 units to operation 20 which is the next operation?

    Hi Afnan,

This looks from AX 2012 so moving this thread from F&O to AX. community.dynamics.com/.../microsoft-dynamics-ax-forum

And can you clarify that what are you trying to achieve here? Why do you want to consume the picking list operation wise?

    Warm Regards,

    Zain

    hi Zain,

Q: can you clarify that what are you trying to achieve here?

I want to move the completed stock from the first operation to the second and then to third and so fourth. How can I achieve this?

Q: Why do you want to consume the picking list operation wise?

This I have already achieved by selecting operation number in BOM setup form.

    Hi Afnan,

I we have the ability to consume raw materials operation wise but moving the completed stock from one operation to another might not be possible. If you want to achieve this than you have to create a production order per operation. The produced semi finished goods will be consumed in the next operation for finished goods. It will be like if you have four operations you would have to maintain 4 production orders for that.

    Warm Regards,

    Zain

    Hi Zain,

    On behalf of Afnan,

Can you please suggest how can we see the production order at each stage / operation e.g. how many units are in operation 10 and 20 and so on.

    Thanks
