Routing Setup for Molding Operation

we are looking at setting up workcenters and routing table for molding operations. The molding operation has to start within the shop calendar but can occupy mold outside the calendar and still count towards execution..
for example, we have a 3 hour molding operation starting at 4:30 pm with 5:00 pm being EOD, now instead of the end time being computed as 11:30 am next day (assuming 9:00 am as start of shift), the end time should be instead computed as 7:30 pm with the mold being available for reuse at 9:00am next day
how should be go about setting up routing/workcenter parameters for such cases?

    don't think this is possible out of the box. you need to review the scheduling of production orders to move operations to a more feasible time or move that operation to an alternative work center. There is scheduling app in BC to increate the shop hours of a work center on a certain date, but not likely available for nav.

    the real end of day is still 5:00pm

    molding is a passive operation, you only need to set-up the mold which is an active operation the rest of it can run outside the calendar, and then demolding again is a active operation

    set-up time is approx 10 mins, move time around 5 mins but the mold occupation time is 3 hours, the mold can be occupiied outside shop calendar but cannot be set-up or moved outside shop calendar in other words

    So if I don't get you wrong your real end of day isn't 5:00 pm. Couldn't you change that end of day and work with the real one?
