How to have NAV to look at two locations when calculating MRP?

Hello all,

I am new to NAV and I am using NAV 5.0.

For our company, we have two different locations for inventory. One is Main inventory and the other one is Consignment inventory. So when we have a production order, we would like to have the system to look at both locations to determine the material availability. But currently, NAV is setup to only look at one location, which is the Main inventory.

Is there a way to have NAV setup to look at both of the inventory location?

Best,

Daisy

I suggest to change your definition of Consignment from a different  location  to a Bin  within your  Main Location.   Create an Item journal to move the inventory from Consignment location to a BIN in the Main location  and will no have a problem with replenishment/MRP.

Thank you Rashed, I will try it out. This is a great suggestion. Because the only thing we need is for NAV to calculate, and we can physically have two locations for the inventory.

    Thanks again.
