Play Video in marketing e-mail

Hi Guys,

My video is hosted and YouTube and I am embedding it in my marketing e-mail. My understanding was that the video can be played in email directly (without jumping to the link), but unfortunately when I click on the video there is an automatic redirect to the actual YouTube link.

Is there a way to play it in email directly?

Otherwise, why do I need entity video if I can just link any image/text to the video on YouTube

    Hi Jana,

    Due to security policy and technical limitations of email providers nowadays, Internet email is not supported with embedded video,

    thus we also couldn't embed a video in marketing email of Dynamics 365 for Marketing and it is the reason why we could only add URL and embedded code parameters to Video entity.

    A possible workaround is that you could extract core part of your video and convert it into gif as clip, then embed the gif file into marketing email.

    This works, but, it is not embedding a video, its an image with a link!

    But now, it wors for me, thankyou
