Hi All,

I exported projects using Excel Add in's. Is it possible to add lookup to project group field to choose its value from Excel and Can I make it changes based on project type?

Hi Waed,

It is possible to link a data entity to act as a lookup for the project groups. This would require some development work. Note that this will not have dependency on any other field in the Projects entity. Lookups based on other fields from the entity are not supported using OData. You can have such experience in the Dynamics 365 F&O client itself only.

Hi Andre,

Yes, I added code to make project group open as lookup on Excel Add in, but I am not able to filter return data based on selected group type. Is there any MS that prove this case?

Hi Waed,

Like mentioned, the filtering based on Excel values in other columns is not working with OData. The lookup is not aware of any value present in Excel.
