Radio buttons on CRM 2013 form?

Hello,

For a "bit" (two option type) field like "Do Not Allow Email" in the contact preference section on a contact form, I know you can choose to display the bit field either as:

1) Radio button, or

2) Checkbox, or

3) List.

I have a vanilla CRM 2013 environment (version 6.0.0.809) and the radio button controls now display as text on the form, where, if I click on the value (e.g. "Yes"), it "flips" to the other value (e.g. "No"). No radio buttons in sight!

The other 2 formats (i.e. checkbox and list) are displayed same as before in CRM 2011. Just no radio buttons in CRM 2013 forms.

Is this intentional? Anyone got any ideas please?

Thanks,

Priscilla.

Guido, any insight on *why* they got rid of Radio Buttons? In a Non-True/False scenario, Radio Buttons let you view the 2 choices. Now Users have to make an extra click to see if they need to make a change. Why limit the designer's ability to flex the UI?

Thanks Guido, I wasn't sure if you had inside knowledge from the product team or something. Based on your research, I would say you are probably right, or else someone at MSFT called the wrong control and everyone else assumed it was intentional. As far as Connect is concerned, I already beat you to it. There was not a suggestion yet, but there is now. :-)
