Dear all,

I have created in my crm a Fmiliy called Touch screen where I have add childs representing the different screen size like 21",22", 32" and 42" screens

Then I am able to build a quote with either of this product separatly or I can quote them with a PC

PC is a separate product that I can quote alone and part of an other familly.

If I build a Bundle which includes any other screen + PC and I call it " Screen + PC" then :

Q1 : Will I be still be able to quote a single product screen event if it has been part of a bundle or has soon he is part of the bundle the product cannot be use any more as single ?

Q2 : In my price list Item, how can I add the whole bundle then ?

Thanks for your reply

For question 1: Yes you can quote a single product even it is part of a bundle.

For question 2: CRM deals with Bundle products as a single product when it is added to a price list, so go the the price list and add a price list item, there you will be able to add a product which can be a bundle or a single product, but make sure the product you are adding or quoting is published (Active).

    Thnaks for your reply.

I maange to add the bundle to the price list item but now I have an other issue.

When you create the bundle, it is consider as a product and give you the possibility to enter a price. But as the price of Bundle is define that the sum of all product inside the bundle how should it be done ?

For exemple, initially I have a price to my Bundle let say 5000 euros.

Then inside that bundle I have 2 produt P1 and P2 which each have price of 1000 euros.

When I run my quote rport , as I use to do os far, then now I have listed in my quote the 2 products which are part of the Bundle P1 and P2 with there respective price BUT then I have also as product the Bndle name with its own price. which is not correct because real package price in this exemple will be 2000 euro

Does that means that bundle root should not have any price enter ?

    regards

Unfortunately, Dynamics CRM deals with bundle products as one product so it should have a price like any other product in the system, and I think there is no way of setting the bundle product price to always be the sum of the containing products, this should be done manually. And as for the products you see when quoting the bundle or using it in the opportunity, this is just for the Sales user to know what products are in the bundle and not for any calculation.

Conclusion: Bundle product price is totally independent of the included products. But at the same time you can reference the bundle and one or more of its products in the same price List, and add them to the same quote as different products each with it own defined price.

The sum of product prices is calculated in my Quote report actually.

But what I mean is that if I run my so far quote report, instead of listing on my report just the bundle root product, it is listed on report all the product belonging to the bundle as well

So how should I handle my quote report based on this ? I do not want to have a quote report different wether if I use a bundle or nomal product

Or does it mean that I need to update my quote report in the sense that if product is a bundle I skip to show child product ?

    thnaks for advise
