Show email address instead of primary field

Hi,

I have a custom entity, which uses an auto number as its primary field.

Now we have enabled emailing to that entity. The emails sent to this record is showing the auto number as the recipient name in outlook. I know the system will take the primary field as the recipient name but, as per the current design, it is not possible to change the auto number to another field. Is it possible to prevent the system from taking the primary field as recipient name?

Hi nijo,

I dnt think there is possibility of custom field (email) as activity party

It is not possible to change display name without changing primary field.

Hi Nijo,

There is no way of using the non-primary field in this case, however, I would like at what possibilities you have for having your AutoNumber solution not be the primary field, and use the email address as the primary field.

Give it a try.

Hi Nijo,

No. There is no way as per my experience. You have to change your design. Make auto numbering field to some custom field and make primary filed to email field.

I think this is the only solution.
