I want to do a screen recording for Demo

I tried the task recorder, the file is saved under .axtr format.

i don't know how to convert this to a video file for presenting

please guide

Hi,

That can be loaded later via the Task recorder pane, so that the recording can be played as a task guide or edited. Please check:

Hi,

It cannot be converted to a video file format. you will need to use screen recorder tools to capture the video of the screen. Task recordings can be plated back in D365FO again have a look at demo: www.youtube.com/watch

You can use any screen recording tool to record what happens on your screen. It doesn't actually matter what is in your screen (D365 or something else), the process is always the same.

The task recording can't be converted into a video.

Hi Sriram GS,

You can try snagit 2020 licensed version, it is best tool for screen video recording.

For presenting and training purpose you can play .axtr as task guide because this file extention is saved/upload in D365 to play as recording. Once your .axtr file is created/saved, return to main menu and Just use that option "Play recording as guide"

There are many third-party screen recording software now, and you can edit it after recording. My friend told me that you can choose TunesKit AceMovi if you want to record a video, because the pictures recorded by this software are not stuck and are very smooth. Hope my comment can help you.
