Hi Everyone,

I have a very strange situation, I running CRM 2011, I have a problem that when my clients access CRM application with an administrator account.

For Example, I have below accounts:

- Client username: CRM2011

- Administrator account: Sysadmin.

When CRM2011 login through the portal, he accesses as Sysadmin not CRM2011.

any idea how to solve the issue?

Can you explain what you mean when the user accesses from the Portal? I don't think you are using Dynamics Portal as this is CRM 2011. Are you using ADX Portals?

    Yes, im using ADX Portals.

my situation where all users who log into CRM are accessing CRM via the same user, who in this case is the sysadmin user who was used to install the CRM system. For example, Bob Jones logs into windows with his own AD account and browses to CRM via IE8, he is logged in as the system admin user with the sysadmin name in the upper right-hand corner and all of the access. Sharon Smith logs into her computer with her credentials and browses to the CRM server and it also behaves as if she is logged in with the sysadmin account.

Not sure what the authentication that you are using in Portals is, but in general when Portal creates a record in CRM, the owner of the record will be set to SYSTEM account. Most entities have an additional lookup field for the contact record.

If you go to an entity form record there is a section called Associate Current Portal User on Insert. You can set the user of the record by setting the Associate Current Portal User and selecting the target attribute.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi Everyone,

The issue was resolved by changing the option of Physical Path Credentials from Specific User to Application user(pass-through authentication) on IIS configuration. With this change, I was able to access the CRM with my test user only and I tested no other user can access CRM without permission.
