Grid to excel not working for 64-bit office

my computer crashed and i had to do an all new clean install. i used to be able to grid to excel with office 2016 64 bit and dynamics sl2011 now with the new install when i use office 2016 64 bit in any module in Dynamics SL2011 when i hit grid to excel i get error where the module closes but if i uninstall the 64 bit and install 32 bit office it works just fine. is there a way to get office 64 bit to work for grid to excel because i need to use the 64 bit version of office due to some hege macros that run every day that are too big to run on 32 bit. i am at a loss as to why it isnt working now when it used to before the clean install.

Jana, what are the supported Excel versions for SL2018, in particular CU6 and 7,

There were some reports of this behavior in SL2011. Office 2016 was not supported with SL2011 Unfortunately, I cannot say how to get the 64 bit Excel to work. The cases where 64 bit Excel didn’t work and they went with the 32 bit. The supported 64 bit version is Office 2013.
