Specified payment schedules can be used only if the sum (50,000.00) matches the invoice amount (47,500.00).

Hii,

I have a sales order. When we invoice it, getting following error.

"Specified payment schedules can be used only if the sum (50,000.00) matches the invoice amount (47,500.00)."

Any idea what could be the reason, and how to solve.

AX 2012 R2.

Thanks,

    Hi Rana,

Check if you have a correct payment schedule. There might be an incorrect amount allocated.

    Thanks André,

Where I can check it? Is it in Sales and Marketing or Customer?

And how to make the amount correct?

    Thanks,

From AR -> Setup -> Payment -> Payment schedules

We have a Payment schedule for the customer in this SO. Please see the screen shot.

What should I do in this payment schedule to fix the error?

    Hello Rana Anees,

Your lines add up to a total of $50000. Seems your invoice is less than this $50000.

Please double check that and adjust the payment schedule or invoice correspondingly.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hii Ludwig,

I created another Payment schedule for the same customer with the amount as in the invoice.

Now which payment schedule will apply to the sales order?

Is there some place where I have manually select the payment schedule on Sales Order or Invoice or on Customer card?

    Thanks,

    Hi Rana Anees,

The payment schedule is linked to your terms of payment and defaults on the SO header.

If you create a new payment schedule you can change the one defaulting by manually changeing it on the SO header in the price and discount tab.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Thanks Ludwig Reinhard,

Updated new payment schedule in SO -> Header -> Price and discount -> Payment schedule.
