what is importance of free text invoice and how to configure
HI,
Free text invoice is like an invoice without sales order, here you can use only ledger account like revenue, fixed asset etc.
You dont need to configure anything, just you need to create number sequence and to AR parameter.

As Ramit mentioned FTI is for service invoices and where there is no involvement of inventory. Setup / configurations remains same like you work with Sales orders apart from FTI number sequence in parameters.
