Fixed Asset Number Sequence - error when generating fixed asset via purchasing

Hi All,

I am getting the below error message when trying to create a fixed asset through purchasing:
"Stopped (error): You cannot create the asset. You first must set up fixed assets to use automatic numbering in the Fixed assets parameters."

"Autonumber fixed assets" is set to 'Yes' on all fixed asset groups.

Fixed assets number sequences are all set to "Continuous"

Any thoughts why I am getting this error?

Hi Annie,

The error is mentioning a setting for automatic numbering in the Fixed asses Parameters. You have reviewed the settings on the Asset groups, but there is a similar setting also on the parameters form.

Have you use some specific number sequences for FA group? you may follow the link to check you number seq's settings or share the screen shots for us to research.
