Item journal batches

Hello, 
 
Is there a way to assign a specific user there own item journal batch? Or do you always have to manually choose which batch to work in?
 
What if there are more than one person working in that batch?

    Item journal batches
    Not possible to automatically assign specific users to their own batch, you have to manually choose what batch to work in. But when the item journal is opened the system will open the batch the user was last in, so if user's only work in one batch, they don't have to switch every time. 
     
    To avoid more than one person working in a specific batch - one way of creating batches is per user. Each user would have their own batch, and the batch name/description would contain the user's name. This avoids any potential of multiple users working in the same batch. It sounds like setting up your batches like this is a good idea for you.

    Hi, just add some information. As of now, even customization cannot be done in Item Journals.
    More details: Dynamics 365 Business Central: Can we access global variables from page extensions or table extensions? Yes, But……
     
    But it is possible in General Journals.
