Workflow for Journal Lines with different Cost Center Head

Dear Experts,

I have a very small question regarding GL Journal Workflow.

In the Journal lines as an example 5 different lines with different Cost center details are there, if I want to get the lines approved by specific 5 heads of the Cost Center, how this is possible?

Is this at all possible, any lead or suggestion will be highly appreciated.

    Hi Ramit, I don't think this is possible without a custom workflow developed.  GL journal workflows are based on header only.  There is no GL Journal line workflow.

    These are the only GL workflows available.

    Hi Ramit,

    Like Frank mentioned, there is no line-item workflow. You can consider a customization to or develop a line-item workflow or a participant provider which could also return users based on journal line data, even if you don't have the line-item workflow.

    A line-item workflow would have a workflow instance per line. In case the same cost center is used multiple times, then the same user will need to approve multiple lines. With a participant provider, the user would need to approve only one instance.

    Hi Ramit,

    As mentioned line level workflow is not available otherwise we could have used expenditure reviewer method to trigger based on cost centre owner.
