User Level access to Notes entity privilege in Security Role

Hi,

I'm trying to setup my security roles such that a user can only see the notes added by themselves.

I gave the user a security role with just the User level access (yellow pie slice) on Note entity but I am able to see notes entered by other users.  I only want the user to see notes entered by themself.

Is this the correct way to do this?

Thanks,

Linna

    Linna,

Is the user associated with another security role?

If the User Level is set on "Read" then the user should see only his/her Notes.

I have one other security role but it only has privileges on custom entities, no overlapping.  Do you think this is a possible bug?

I am not sure...I am more leaning towards an user being a member of a team that has another role or something along those lines.

Can you do some more digging and see if we can find an issue with settings instead of pointing to a bug?

    Hi Gus,

I did some more testing on a Base MS CRM.  i created a new user, copied Salesperson Role and modified the role for Contact and Note entity to have user level (yellow slice) access.  User is not part of any team.  I still see all notes.  Quite easy to reproduce...
