Custom field for contacts

Hello,

I have question about fields.  We need to store in crm additional contact for task. They can be maximum 4.  Therefore we have added field to the task conName1, conLastName1, conEmail1, conName2 etc..

How to simply edit thies fields? My idea is, that I will f.e. create Iframe, with button, when I will click on button, the modal dialog with contacts will be shown. On close I will update the fields in crmobject.

Is it right way? Or there is better solution?

(Last I worked with crm3 so I am new in Dynamics 365)

Thanks

Petr

    Hi,

Instead you can have same field on Task, then on create and update you can trigger system workflow to sync the data.

    Hi Again.

If you just want to show the contact form when the contact is populated then you should go for "Quick View Forms" http://www.websan.com/blog/item/720-create-d365-quick-view-forms-in-3-easy-steps.

When you want to edit the field from task and same needs to be saved on the corresponding contact. then you must create the fields with same properties on Task entity, then from the system workflow that should trigger on Task create and update(of contact related fields) then under step select update of contact then map the respective fields under properties, activate it to see the result.

    sample properties snap,
