Hi,

I noticed that in the Event Management Dashboard, some of the view will default to tiles view. How can I make the list view to tiles view by default when dashboard is loaded?

Thanks.

Regards,
Teh

    As Clofly replied, the dashboard is based on D365 dashboarding capabilities, you could build a version of "event dashboard" that you like  and make that the default dashboard for your users.

    the underlying capabilities of dashboarding are not specific to events, or D365 Marketing, but standard D365 platform capabilities - any help on that would be best from the specific forums

    RE: Default to Tiles view in Dashboard

    Hi Teh,

    We couldn't set tile view as default view, it's by design.

    You could take workaround below as reference:

     1. Create a multi-stream dashboard and add it to a solution, then export the solution.

    2. In customization.xml, remove all chart elements.(they are all in a tab node.)

    3. Apply modification to xml file by attached notes of screenshot:

    4. Import customized solution back to CRM and publish all customizations.

    Result:

    As what result shows, we can only see tile views by default.

    Actually the dashboard has been changed to "single-stream" type, because tile views could be only available by default in this type of dashboard.

    So obviously, you could also create a single-stream dashboard directly, remove left stream(list) component and middle chart components, only keep right tile components.

    (Please note that "Other Queues and Views" might not be able to remove by us because the label is required in single-stream dashboard.)

    My customization.xml code:

          {a0372f4c-a9ab-ea11-a812-000d3ab85a2e}
          1
          0

    RE: Default to Tiles view in Dashboard

    Hi Clofly,

    I understand the interactive dashboard.

    What I would like to achieve is, when I launch the dashboard, I want to default it to display as tiles view, instead of need to press on the tiles view.

    Thanks.

    Regards,

    Teh

    RE: Default to Tiles view in Dashboard

    Hi Teh,

    Event Management Dashboard is "Interactive Dashboard".

    There are two layouts for this type of dashboard:

    * Multi-Stream

    * Single-Stream

    Currently tiles component is only supported in 5-Column Overview Dashboard I and II of Single-Stream layout dashboard, and these tiles will be always positioned on the right side of the dashboards.

    (We can find that Event Management Dashboard is 5-Column Overview Dashboard I of Single-Stream layout.)

    In other word, for Interactive Dashboard, all components position and layout are fixed.

    An alternative solution is that you could create a custom Multi-Stream Dashboard, then add multiple stream components(stream could be regarded as view) into Streams section:

    Then we can click "Switch To Tile View" button to change these views into tile view.
