How can I change the UOM for Inventory ID once a PO, SO or Adjustment has been posted to it?

As far as I am aware your stocking UOM cannot simply be changed once there are transactions against the item.  If you need for that to be changed you will need to change the status of the inventory item to inactive and recreate the item with the needed configurations.   However, your purchase and sales UOM can be changed without a problem by changing the same in the inventory item screen.

    Hope that helps.

It does, and that is what I suspected.  I imagine that if the stocking UOM were left in X but the Sales and Purchase UOM's changed to Y it would unleash havoc on my inventory.  Seems odd to me that Dynamics would let you do that if that is the case?  Or maybe I'm wrong?

    Thanks Lisa!

Wouldn't it only be a problem if the stocking UOM changed. PurchaseUOM no matter what would be converted to your stockingUOM and salesUOM no matter what would be conversion from your stocking UOM too.
