Hi All,

I am trying to add a resource in Project team member, below is my scenario when i am adding "A" resource i am able to add it, but when i am trying to add the same resource "B resource" with different role and duration i am getting below error "A duplicate resource has been detected. The user is already a member of the team."

A resource

Resource Name : Shahbaaz

Role : project manager

Time Duration : 01-01-2020 to 31-01-2020

B resource

Resource Name : Shahbaaz

Role : Team Member

Time Duration : 01-02-2020 to 15-02-2020

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi ,

You can disable the duplicate detection service for your Entity.

Thanks Vijay for your reply, i resolved that by disabling one system plugin, but the question is why it doesn't allow same resource to be added multiple time for different time frame?

It is this one.

However, the issue is that you are not able to differentiate easily on the Schedule view which team member you are adding. If on the Teams tab you add the same resource twice with different roles, when assigning the resource to a task both display the same.
