A get/change operation on table GL_account_MSTR failed accessing SQL data

Hi All,

I have two different SQL and GP instances as of now. One is GP2013R2 with 5 companies which is upgraded from GP10.0. Another one is GP2013R2 webclient installed on cloud SQL Server.
The cloud SQL Server is being configured for two Customers. Since we can not create database in the same name, they have created the system database name as DYNAMICSAA.
In the WebClient GP2013R2, I have two newly implemented companies and 5 existing companies for upgraded GP.

Now I am trying to migrate the upgraded GP2013R2 to cloud Server. Since I have the same system database name, I tried updating tables and views as per the below link.

http://blogs.msdn.com/b/developingfordynamicsgp/archive/2012/09/25/using-the-named-system-database-feature-for-microsoft-dynamics-gp-2013.aspx

As I already have two new companies on cloud Server linked with system database, I just restored the company database which are upgraded from GP10.0.

Now I am able login into to the GP but when I tried to retrieve the GL Transaction, I got an error like 'get/change operation on table 'GL_Account_MSTR''.
So I modified the DEX.ini as SYNCHRONIZE=TRUE and ran the utilities. But still I am getting the issue.

I checked the SY00302 table from system database which has 9 segments and 10 segments in GL00100 and other tables from company database. So i guess when they installed GP on cloud sever they could have selected only 9 segments.

Do I have any option to modify the Account Segment related fields in the company database?

Thanks,

Anvar

With GP2013 and GP2015 you can have two different DYNAMICS databases.  In your case I think that might be best.

One of the Dynamics databases for the 9 segement and the other for the 10 segement

Get that running with the 2 dynamics databases and let us know your situation.

    Dear Bill Campbell,

Thank you for your immediate respond.

I checked the account segments on SY00302(system database) table and the results are following.

    Cloud Server - 9 segments

    Non-Cloud Server - 10 segments.

I restored the 5 companies(upgraded from GP10.0) on cloud server. Since the cloud server is configured with 9 segments and company database has data base on 10 segments, i got that issue.

The other 2 newly implemented company on cloud server are working fine.

    Thanks,

    Anvar

When you look at the existing Cloud server, what is the Account Format.

When you look at the non-cloud data, again, what is the Account Format.

    Look in the application.

One of the first rules of running Dynamics Companies on a single Instance is that they all have to have the same Account Framework as a starting point.

The Account Format from Company to Company can be different, but they all have to have the same BASE.

Post back with your findings and lets see what we can figure out.
