is it possible to change a toggle buttons value (no to yes) from a list view, rather then have to open each record?

You can't do that in a list view (out of the box), but you could select your records and do a bulk edit on them.

that is a great idea... But you have intrigued me on the "out of box" comment. Can you please provided more details..
CRM has an awesome community of people building add-on solutions and there may be something that'll do what you're looking for (they may or may not cost money though).
